Introducing Elisabeth Gambill-Niksich, winner for the 6 Faces of MyChelle contest in the 50's category!

Elisabeth is from the South, and has been a passionate animal welfare advocate all her life. Elisabeth is a proponent for ferel cats, while also supporting the spay/neuter/adoption and volunteer at a local shelter:

I have [recently] become involved in another [animal protection] project that is near and dear to my heart: The Humane Society of the United States’ End Dogfighting in Atlanta campaign. I am honored to be the City Lead Volunteer for this program, which targets at-risk youths teaching them to respect and love their dogs, not fight them.

When we asked Elisabeth what her favorite product was, this is what she said:

I’m sure everyone has difficulty choosing only one favorite MyChelle product, but I will have to say it is the Sun Shield. Like most women, when I was a young girl I loved to “bake” in the sun. Later I developed a small skin cancer, which was successfully treated. I have been able to counteract the effects of sun damage, thanks to fine products like MyChelle, and I NEVER leave the house without my sun screen! I love the fact that MyChelle’s Sun Shield is effective and non-toxic.

I think the majority of consumers have no idea what they are putting in and on their bodies. They have no concept of the cruelties animals endured, and continue to endure, to create so many “popular” brands, nor do they understand all the harmful chemicals included in those brands. It is important to educate people on these issues: a) to help end the atrocities committed against animals in making consumer products; b) to understand there are alternatives in which to beautify one’s self in a healthy and cruelty-free way; and c) to create a more environmentally friendly world.

The old saying “you are what you eat” also applies to “you are what you put on your body”. In addition, with viable alternatives available to animal testing and harmful chemicals there is absolutely no reason (or excuse) not to use natural, pure products.
